Still Life – Batik on Tissue with Jenny O’Leary

A vase of flowers, a potted plant or a few favourite objects, these will be the inspiration to create batiks on tissue using Jenny’s contemporary interpretation of a traditional technique.

Working with hot wax, bleach and inks, tissue and paper to make individual pieces of work. No experience is necessary as the technique will be taught from scratch. Most materials provided, just bring an apron, hairdryer, gloves, images for inspiration such as simple jugs, vases of flowers, potted plants etc and if you have interesting paper as a backing for your work such as Khadi paper or watercolour paper.

This workshop is led by Jenny O'Leary, a textile artist and tutor living and working in Shropshire.
