About the event

Suzette will share the inspirations behind her window pieces and bring along some of her favourite samples to spark ideas.
Day One: You’ll begin with an introduction to the structure of the “windows.” Using fabric and paper on bondaweb, you’ll create your first collage — the front of your window doors. These will be layered with texture and stitch, perhaps backed with a personal fabric or an old letter for a touch of history. Moving from the outside in, you’ll start crafting your collaged story, incorporating items such as old photographs, postcards, or small embroideries. Add detail with stitched frames or names to personalise your piece.
Day Two: Continue developing your work with hand and/or machine stitching as you assemble your windows. Suzette will guide you through techniques and ideas for embellishment. You may wish to include personal mementoes such as a charm, key, or treasured scrap to complete your…
