About the event
About the workshop
Nuno felt making involves bonding wool fibres into a sheer fabric, resulting in a creative and unique fabric with an often ripped, draped effect. The technique was developed by Polly Stirling and Sachiko Kotaka in Australia around 30 years ago to create a strong, yet lightweight material. 'Nuno' stems from the Japanese word for 'cloth' or 'fabric' and speaks to Kotaka's heritage.
This workshop will teach you the techniques needed to transform a scarf using Nuno felting to create a beautiful wearable piece of art.
