About the event
Digging into the archives of the Quilt Associations collection, we are showing some of our most vibrant and colourful quilts. This years exhibition is based around the theme 'Kaleidoscope!
This summer we are showing the brightest and most colourful quilts in our antique and heritage collection. This is our flagship exhibition focuses on colour, light and perception along with structural, geometric and abstract patterns.
With quilts dating from the early 19th Century to today, this exhibition will share the stories of the quilts; the people who made them and the places they come from.
We have a collection of over 300 quilts and no exhibition is ever the same. If you've been to us before, you won't have seen these quilts so come and appreciate the detailed patchwork and quilting involved in creating these timeless pieces made by hand, with love and incredible artistic skill.
