Building from Nature

A free exhibition by Tangent Textiles.

Based in the West Midlands, Tangent Textiles is a group of textile artists with a diversity of skills and expertise who meet regularly to exchange ideas. Their meetings are also an opportunity for critical appraisal of work in progress, which helps them to push their artistic boundaries when planning and creating new work for exhibitions.

This exhibition of contemporary stitched textiles explores the theme of ‘Building from Nature’. Some works reflect nature directly, while others explore the ideas of growth, form and construction. 

The variety of techniques and approaches reveals the diverse creative voices within the group.
