Ruth Issett - Disrupting Repetitive Pattern

This workshop is part of DIS / rupt - an exhibition of the Textile Study Group.

Approach fabric printing from a different angle by disrupting it, interrupting pattern or by adding discordant elements, altering colour schemes and create the unexpected.

We will use simple accessible printing techniques onto undyed and coloured fabrics. Ruth Issett is a member of the Textile Study Group. Her work reflects her continuing passion and excitement for the use of colour. Working on both paper and fabric, she uses dyeing, printing, painting, collage and stitch.
