Alicia Merrett - Imagining Maps

Maps tell us where places are; they lead us to destinations. They describe features of the planet.  They can also portray landscapes of the mind.  In this workshop we will consider the potential of maps and mapping in textile art, and do some experimentation with fabric and stitch, using line, shape and colour as elements of cartography in our own imaginary map making.
