Our summer exhibitions always contain some antique quilts with the aim of showing the origins of the craft and how it can be used to ignite and inspire a new generation of quilters. The combination of these antique quilts with the excitement of the new work by Quilt Art and Thr3fold will enable visitors to see how reference to the past can be built on to produce individual, challenging, new work.
Here are works by groups who push the boundaries of quilting to take in new and innovative techniques, crossing into other textile and artistic disciplines and bringing the concept of the art quilt to the fore.
A number of workshops will take place during the exhibition. Click here for details.
