This is an area of about 200 square metres. It is ideal for exhibitions, public meetings, and fairs. It leads off the main entrance to The Minerva Arts Centre. Near the entrance is the large reception desk, to which visitors are automatically drawn upon entering.
The gallery walls are dry lined, painted white, and prepared for displaying exhibition material.
Leading off this area at the rear are the two toilets (one of which is accessible), the Centre’s kitchen, and the main office used by volunteers.
Gallery 1 has two large windows overlooking Great Oak Street, one of two main thoroughfares in Llanidloes. These are ideal for displaying publicity or other materials and drawing attention to activities at the Centre.
Banners can, by arrangement, be displayed either in the window, or externally above the main facade of the building, to further promote activities.
Large interconnecting doors at the rear of Gallery 1 lead through to Gallery 2 and the Workroom.
