October 21 - 23 2011 saw the British Quilt Study Group's annual seminar located in Mid Wales for the first time. The group of over forty enthusiastic quilt historians called at Minerva to view some of the Association's collection on Friday.

Three of the trustees joined the Welsh Heritage Quilters for a trip to Ceredigion Museum on 7 September 2011. Museum staff had arranged a special "show and tell" of quilts from the collection, focussing on some beautiful Welsh quilts.

The Quilt Association has received a grant of £5000 from the lottery-fund grants programme ‘Awards for All Wales’ for a research project focussing on quilts from its Heritage Quilt collection.

The Quilt Association’s successful project is called “Warming Minerva”. The organisation plans to extend the central heating system in the Centre, which currently only serves Gallery 1 at the front of the building, into Gallery 2.
